Long School of Medicine
Research Symposium Poster Application
Medical students, MD/PhD students, graduate students, residents, clinical fellows, and postdoc fellows are invited to participate in the Long School of Medicine (LSOM) Trainee Poster Session during the 2023 LSOM Research Symposium. Posters illustrating completed or ongoing research projects are welcome at this event. Submitted posters will have the chance of being selected for a podium presentation. Poster sessions will take place on Thursday, March 30th from 11:00 AM-11:40 AM and 11:45 AM-12:30 PM at the Holly foyer and breezeway.
Before beginning your registration, please read the following instructions carefully to be sure your registration is processed.
Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their own horizontally formatted posters.
Presenters may reuse a poster presented at a previous conference.
The poster boards available at the symposium will be sized 6 feet wide by 4 feet tall. Presenters can bring a horizontally formatted poster (preferred size: 4’x3’) that will fit in the poster board space.
If presenters need their poster printed, please use the templates (color of choice) at the UT Print’s site: http://ims.uthscsa.edu/services_solutions/print_posters.aspx. Customization of the template is permitted.
Presenters may print from UT Print or any other print shop.
If using the UT Print Shop, you must submit your poster for printing by March 16, 2022, by emailing your final poster file to benavidesg3@uthscsa.edu with the subject line LSOM RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM POSTER. The poster file name must be your name and must be in print PDF file format e.g. John Smith.PDF
Presenters are responsible for uploading a PDF copy of their poster.
Presenters must be the first author, co-first author, or last author on the poster.
Presenters must ensure all authors are aware of your submission.
Presenters may only register to present one poster.
Presenters must obtain proper approval and/or documentation if the poster contains patient information, PHI, or images.
Late poster applications will not be accepted.
