Research Symposium Poster Application  

Medical students, MD/PhD students, graduate students, visiting students, residents, clinical fellows, and postdoc fellows are invited to participate in the Long School of Medicine (LSOM) Trainee Poster Session during the 2025 LSOM Research Symposium. Posters illustrating completed or ongoing research projects are welcome at this event.  Submitted posters will have the chance of being selected for a podium presentation. Poster sessions will take place on Wednesday, March 26 from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM at the Holly Foyer.  The deadline to submit a poster application is Monday, March 3rd.

Before beginning your registration, please read the following instructions carefully to be sure your registration is processed.  

• Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their own horizontally formatted posters. Please note the cost of printing is the responsibility of the presenter. Please contact your PI if financial assistance is required. Presenters may reuse a poster presented at a previous conference. 
• The rolling poster boards available at the symposium will be sized 6'x4'. Presenters can bring a horizontally formatted poster (preferred size: 4'x3') that will fit in the poster board space. 
• Presenters may print from UT Print or any other print shop.
  • If using the UT Print Shop, you must submit your poster for printing by Monday, March 10, 2025.
    •  The poster file name must be your name and must be in print PDF file format (e.g. John Smith.PDF)
    • Use the templates (color of choice) at the UT Print’s site: http://ims.uthscsa.edu/services_solutions/print_posters.aspx. Customization of the template is permitted. 
    • The Print Shop is offering a discounted rate for posters printed for the LSOM Research Symposium. The discounted rate is $45 for 4x3 posters only. To obtain the discount, you must include "LSOM RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM" in the request.
    • Payment will be required prior to printing. Any delinquent posters will be subject to denial and/or additional fees.
  • To submit a poster printing request via TeamDynamix, use this link: https://uthscsa.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/2009/Portal/Requests/TicketRequests/NewForm?ID=OR3i3pXLXoo_&RequestorType=Service. 
    • If requesting via TeamDynamix, please be sure you've received proper PID approval. 
    • To avoid delays, it is recommended that the request be submitted by your department/division admin or that you have proper approval in advance as well as PID number, PID approver, department number and funding code.
  • If you are purchasing the poster at your own expense through the UT Print SA Store, please submit your request online at https://utprintsastore.com/.  You must log in using your uthscsa.edu email address to access the site. Note to students: remove "livemail." from your uthscsa email address (e.g. instead of doej@livemail.uthscsa.edu use doej@uthscsa.edu).
    • From the top-center drop-down menu, select "Print," then choose "LSOM 2025 Research Symposium."  To receive the discount, you must order through the 2025 LSOM Research Symposium page. Please note that the discount is only available for 4'x3' posters. 
• Presenters are responsible for uploading a PDF copy of their poster. 
• The poster file name must be your name and must be in print PDF file format (e.g. John Smith.PDF).
• Presenters must be the first author, co-first author, or last author on the poster.
• Presenters must ensure all authors are aware of their submission. 
• Presenters may only register to present one poster. 
• Presenters must obtain proper approval and/or documentation if the poster contains patient information, PHI, or images. 
• Late poster applications will not be accepted.
